Faces of Constantia – Meet Mickey (Longlands)

Mickey was born in Dublin and recalls a fun-filled childhood spent playing football with friends. He later went on to serve in the army, a time that shaped his discipline and resilience. Alongside this, Mickey also discovered a talent and passion for playing the bagpipes — a skill that still brings him pride.

Mickey’s advice for younger generations is simple but important:
💭 “Do as you’re told and respect other people.”

These days, Mickey enjoys coffee and has a definite sweet tooth, especially when it comes to chocolate. He also loves watching old war films, which bring back memories of the times and stories he lived through.

Friends describe Mickey as a good soldier, honest, and always smart — a reflection of the values he’s carried throughout his life.

We’re proud to celebrate Mickey’s story as part of Faces of Constantia, honouring his service and spirit.
