Faces of Constantia – Meet Muriel (The Millings)

Muriel was born in Nottingham during the war and moved often, as her father served in the army. She grew up in Catterick as the eldest of five children, and fondly remembers a happy childhood — even admitting she sometimes ran away during playtimes!

Though she once dreamed of being a hairdresser, Muriel’s career was spent cooking for others. Her advice in life is simple yet powerful:
✨ “Be yourself, be honest.” ✨

Muriel has always loved writing, reading, poetry, and music. She also enjoyed skipping as a child and has carried that playful energy throughout her life. At The Millings, she has embraced crafts and continues to explore her creative side.

A tea drinker with a sweet tooth, Muriel enjoys watching Andre Rieu concerts, David Attenborough documentaries, and her favourite soaps.

Her message to younger generations is heartfelt:
💭 “Look after your family.”

Friends describe her as friendly, kind, and honest — qualities that shine brightly in her every day.
