Faces of Constantia – Meet Peter (Lilibet Manor)

Peter was born and raised in Manchester, one of eight children in a lively, close-knit family. His childhood was full of laughter, learning, and lasting memories — the kind that only come from growing up in a big, bustling household.

As a young boy, Peter once told his family that he wanted to be a Pope! Though his path turned out differently, his faith and love for learning would shape his life in many ways.

Peter began his career in advertising, designing clothing and bedding labels — a creative role that suited his eye for detail. Later, he retrained as a teacher, a career he loved and excelled in. His enthusiasm for education and helping others learn has remained with him ever since.

Today, Peter still enjoys learning and reflecting on life’s lessons. He loves walking, the arts, and church life, and is known as a proud armchair sports supporter. More often than not, you’ll find him relaxing to Classic FM with a cup of black coffee nearby.

His wife Olive describes him as “caring, respectful, and attentive” — and above all, a devoted family man. One of his happiest memories is teaching his granddaughter when she was little. Now, she’s about to start university — something Peter is incredibly proud of.

Peter’s words of wisdom perfectly capture his approach to life: “Give the world the best you have, and the best will come to you.”

Through stories like Peter’s, our Faces of Constantia series continues to shine a light on the extraordinary lives and experiences that make our homes so special.
